Modulate will be creating a unique sound café installation of home baked sonic surprises, a chorus of cup cakes, a harmonious mix of teas, and octaphonic percolations, all available to sample.
Modulate are a collective of sound and visual artists who are currently involved in developing 22 Green Street as a sound arts and audio visual space for projects, residencies, talks and exhibitions. The creation of a temporary sound café at Green Street is in harmony with their longer-term aims of creating a vibrant meeting place for artists working with sound within the region.
Upcoming Modulate projects include hosting a three month International Artist Fellowship, presenting a series of ‘Sonic Culture Salons’, film and music for the Flatpack Festival, and creating multiple speaker installations and audio visual performances for a range of events
and festivals. Their dvd release of experimental audio-visuals, Modulate 5.1 was recently showcased at the New Forms Festival in Canada.
